Dr. Renate C.-Z.-Quehenberger
MA, Dr. Renate C.-Z.-Quehenberger is a philosopher, geometer and art researcher affiliated at the Institute for a Global Sustainable information Society (https://gsis.at/researchers/) based in Vienna.
In her thesis “On the Hermeneutics of the Penrose Patterns — Art Research on the Phenomenology of higher dimensional Spaces” she described her contribution to mathematics, the finding of the 3D representation of the Penrose Kites and Darts Tiling (Epitahedron, E±), unit-cell of the 5-dimensional space and its relevance for the Henri Poincaré’s homology sphere.
Its application in quantum geometry and as well as philosophical implications in terms of the Poincaré Universe and the Poincaré conjecture are topics of various publications in the fields of geometry, archaeology, quantum physics and systems theory.
Her visualizations of higher dimensional spaces include 3D animated geometry films, installations and objects exhibited in art spaces and museums.
