Dr. Klepp Ferenc, professor emeritus, Politehnica University Timișoara:
Travel with János Bolyai through Europe

The presentation leads from the non-Euclidean geometry of János Bolyai, announced in Temesvár 200 years ago, to the Finsler geometry. It is interesting that academician Radu Miron, the research creator of the Romanian Finsler geometry, also hold in Timisoara the lecture that lanced the National Seminars on Finsler Spaces in Brasov.

Next, events related to Bolyai geometry in Germany, Switzerland and other countries are mentioned. In the end, the tangible models of this geometry from the Mathematikum in Giessen are presented.
